Founded over
100 years ago, the Sportsman's Inn services their guests
with a dining room, cocktail lounge and guest rooms
overlooking the Killarney Channel and the La Cloche
Mountain Range. This is in additional to the 140 slips
reserved for yachters and recreational boaters.
Killarney
village and their docks are visited by the great lakes
boating community by the thousands in the summer.
Transient dockage, gas and diesel are fuel available and
local repair facilities with a travel lift are just down
the street. The Sportsman's Inn is a popular spot in the
summer for the yachting crowd and all are welcome. The
Sportsman's Inn operates year round catering to outdoors
enthusiasts and in the winter they celebrate with many
snowmobiling groups.
If fishing is
your game, then grab your rod and reel and expect to pull
in your catch of small and large mouth
bass, chinook
salmon, steel head, northern pike, lake trout, perch,
musky or splake. Splake is a cross of lake trout and brook
trout and Canadian Sport Fishing Magazine touts the
Killarney area as the "Splake Capital of the
World." Be sure to check out the Inn's fishing
packages.
