is located between Lake
Superior and Lake Huron at
the mouth of the St.
Mary's River. This area
has been a favorite
stopover for many years,
dating back to the First
Nations people who settled
here in the 1800s to
Americans in the early
1900's came looking for a
true "natural"
experience.
Today,
many
visitors are attracted to
'the Island' for its unique
beauty, excellent
sailing waters, festivals
and the friendliness of
its island folk.
